The Bloggers Roadmap is a comprehensive eBook (78 pages) covering all the topics you might need to know if you want to get started with your own blog.
Starting out with why you might want to start a blog, then there is information about choosing your niche, domains and hosting, website design and plugins, and the list goes on.
In fact, there is so much good information about online marketing, that you may need more than one session with it to read and fully understand what you have read.
Nevertheless, the Bloggers Roadmap is a great resource for anyone starting out on a blogging journey.
Who Is Dan Sumner?
Dan Sumner is a highly successful online marketer, who has been in the business for 14 or so years. Of course, he wasn’t always successful and has endured his failures from time to time. All part of learning.
Here’s what Dan has to say about his experience:
I have over a decade of marketing experience, specializing in customer acquisition, brand awareness, product creation and affiliate marketing. I’ve created and authored 100’s of online products, and masterminded many marketing campaigns over the last 10 years!
So, it would be fair to say that he knows what he is talking about.
Of course, Dan now has a great lifestyle that enables him to travel and enjoy time with his family.
The Knowledge Base Within The Bloggers Roadmap.
As we have mentioned above, the whole eBook begins with an introduction of what a blog is and why you would want one.
Because of the extensive knowledge contained in this resource, I’m going to divide the chapters into sections that make sense. So, here’s what you will discover.
An Introduction to Blogging:
Dan first discusses the subject of blogging. What is a blog? And why you should consider starting a blog.
Getting Started:
In this section, you will learn about choosing a niche (a segment of the market in which to focus your business). This is a crucial first step because without a focus for your business, there is no starting point.
You will also find information on how to refine your niche based upon your own interests and passions. Once decided, then you can learn about monetization.
Website Set-up:
This, too, is vitally important and the topics included here are:
- Domains and Hosting – choosing the right domain name associated with your niche, and getting your website hosted.
- Designs and Themes – choosing the right Theme for a professional look, Themes are templates for website design.
- Choosing the right Plugins – WordPress is the content management system which sometimes needs additional help with certain tasks. Plugins can assist with these.
Building Your Blog For Success:
Here, you will find some valuable tips on creating great content for your website/blog.
Dan discusses the types of blog posts you should be writing to build out your website. In addition, there is information on how to generate ideas for blog posts and the types of articles you can write about your niche.
You will discover important tips about writing fantastic headline for your articles, as well as a whole list of headline ideas.
It is crucial to get the finish right! And here you will find discussion of how to insert a Call to Action and how to get readers to share your blog post.
Building your Audience:
The first topic in this section is traffic generation. Traffic is another word for visitors to your website. You cannot just launch a website and expect to have traffic straight away.
Your website will need to get “found” by search engines, such as Google and Bing, and this is not always an easy task. To generate organic (free) traffic, you should gain an understanding of SEO (search engine optimization) through keywords.
You can also utilize paid traffic in the form of online ads – they are usually featured at the top of the page on a Google search.
A great way of building your audience also, is through social media, which is discussed here. Posting information about your blog articles on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc., will help to engage your audience.
This section also features some unique tips for generating more free traffic.
Utilizing Video and Audio content:
The power of imagery cannot be overstated. Add to this the knowledge that YouTube attracts 25% of those surfing the internet globally. And you have a force to be reckoned with.
Creating audio and video presentations to supplement your written content, will connect you with those internet surfers for whom “a picture is worth 1000 words”, and there are many.
Communicating with your audience:
Building an email marketing list is an essential tool to becoming a successful blogger. It is generally through email marketing campaigns that visitors can be converted into customers.
Product Development: The process of a sales funnel is explained. This generally includes a minimally priced product (such as the Bloggers Roadmap), following which there are several upsells. Developing digital products and selling them on your blog is one way to create a worthwhile income.
Even more topics are covered in this comprehensive teaching resource.
What Is Good About The Bloggers Roadmap?
Here’s what I think is good about this product:
- Dan Sumner has more than a decade of experience as a successful online marketer, so, he knows what he is talking about.
- There is a huge amount of knowledge and content contained in this resource.
- The eBook is written in a style that is simple and easy to understand.
- Dan has a 30-day money back guarantee, no questions asked.
- Once purchased, it’s yours to keep for unlimited reference purposes.
Now For The Not So Good.
I was hard-pressed to find anything to criticize. However, here are a couple of things I thought about:
- I am not a fan of sales funnels with upsells. This book has a low price-point for that purpose.
- In the social media section, Dan talks about Google+, which was discontinued in 2019.
- Dan suggests that the only way to make real money online is to develop your own products (with upsells).
Who Will Benefit From Reading The Bloggers Roadmap?
This resource will be of benefit to anyone that wants to start a blog or online business. The process of blogging is described in great detail, along with the tools needed to be successful.
It would probably not be of benefit to experienced online marketers.
How Much Would I Have To Pay To Get This eBook?
If you are interested, you can get it for $9.95 here. Then, at the end of the book, you will find the first Upsell, which is for $27. For this, you will receive the Bloggers Roadmap Video Step-by-step Training, in which there are nine modules.

- Alleviating The Pain.

- Traffic Tactics Bonus.
- Monetizing Your Blog.
- Expert Interviews Exposed.
Undoubtedly, by the end of this, you will have your own blog up and running with some great content.
Final Thoughts On The Bloggers Roadmap Review.
My first thought about this eBook is that it would be a highly beneficial first step for anyone who knows nothing about working online. Also, any blogger at the beginning of their journey would benefit from the huge amount of knowledge contained in this book.
I did not purchase the upsell video training in this instance. However, considering the content of the eBook, I’m sure that the video training will be worthwhile for newbies.

I had not heard of Blogger’s Road Map before reading your article. I am an affiliate marketer whose business is based on blogging. My thought is that anything new I can learn will be helpful. I appreciate your detailed outline of what this ebook covers. I think the only section I would be interested in is choosing a theme. I have a theme that I work on, but I think it might be a good idea to switch. I am going to think about this. If the ebook can be purchased through the link you offer with that special price, it certainly seems reasonable. Thanks for informing me about this program.
Hello Anastazja, Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my article about Bloggers Roadmap. Even though I’ve been in the business a little while, there were certainly a few pointers I picked up from Dan’s eBook. Yes. it can certainly be picked up for that price, and is a worthwhile investment even if you only get one or two issues sorted out by it. Best wishes, Jenni.
This is awesome!
Basically anyone new to doing Business online has to start somewhere, and most often than not there are a lot of resources on the internet. However, the caveat would be that it’s often become harder to filter out the more useful, direct, and easy to apply knowledge and information directly as you begin making blogs for your business online. From what I see, Dan Sumner basically provides everything you need to know when you’re just starting out – from building and setting up your website, down to even customizing using plugins, communicating with the audience and utilizing different types of media properly. The e-book would basically contain years of experience from the author, even perhaps mentioning somethings which you should definitely avoid and do if you want to accelerate the success of your blog. In short, the roadmap is already given, but this should not mean that this should be for everybody as it was stated that Dan specializes or focuses only on upselling as the main method of how to earn online or sell your products.
In any case, trying out different platforms would be best, in order to get a good feel of what business model or monetization model you’d want your business to adapt. I’d also recommend, coming from good experience, trying out Wealthy Affiliate as a good avenue for learning Affiliate marketing.
Hey Johnny, Thanks so much for your comments about Bloggers Roadmap. There certainly is everything covered by Dan that someone new to blogging will need to know. I even found a couple of pointers useful to adopt. Indeed, Wealthy Affiliate is a fantastic platform for learning about affiliate marketing and online success. Best wishes, Jenni.
